untitled

I've found that the challenges of piano tuning and servicing will continue to provide me with a lifetime of exploration and this has enticed me into its grasp.

Servicing pianos has given me a balance of practical/hands-on skill development which offsets the social work that I do.

Mostly, I'm having fun doing both and I love the fact that I can help folks to reach their potential; in life-goals and in their pursuit of beautiful music-making.

Putting a face to a name...

Piano related content

I was mentored under a 30-year-veteran piano technician by the name of Wayne Dunbar of the Chesterville area.  I will always be grateful to Wayne for introducing me to piano technology and for taking me under his wing.

I also studied under piano rebuider Serge Deforges who specialized in restoring Steinway grand pianos.  Serge is the bravest technician that I know and he openly shares his insights with other technicians.

Being an active member of the Piano Technician's Guild (PTG) has been a key component to my growth and development over the years.  I'm also a member of the Canadian Association of Piano Technicians (CAPT.)  These professional associations are founded upon continual learning throughout one's career and buiding upon the networking of professional tuners/technicians.
